Minimizing Waste, Maximizing Impact at Garden State Veterinary Specialists Eatontown

Reducing waste within our hospitals is a key part of how we show we care for our shared world. For us, that includes looking closely at everyday materials like textiles. Items such as scrubs, linens and other soft goods are often thrown out, yet textiles are one of the fastest-growing waste streams and take years to break down in landfills. Keeping these items out of the trash is a crucial step in minimizing our environmental impact.

At Garden State Veterinary Specialists (GSVS) Eatontown, this commitment comes to life through the team’s work with Helpsy, a textile recycling organization that collects soft goods and redistributes them for reuse or recycles them into new materials. By providing a dedicated way to recycle items like scrubs, clothing, towels and more, Helpsy ensures these materials are put to better use. GSVS Eatontown and Helpsy operate out of the same building, making this collaboration as effortless as can be.
